The basic idea behind therapy is that the sessions will give you insights, offer new perspectives, and empower you to feel, think and act more freely in your life, for example, so you feel more well-being and agency in relationships, everyday life, and at work.
A cornerstone of this therapy is that every person is unique, with unique experiences that have shaped the course of their life. This type of therapy relies on the understanding that there are opportunities for change here and now in the present and for the future. It also recognizes that there are past experiences to reflect on and learn from.

Here at Psychological Forum therapy is given in Swedish, English, and German. I also understand French well but do not speak it fluently.

About anxiety
Symptoms of anxiety and worry are usually mainly noticeable in that you think things may go wrong. Overthinking and being wound up are two symptoms among many others. Also, physical symptoms such as restlessness, difficulty sleeping, and palpitations can be signs of anxiety. When someone says that "there are many emotions," it is usually more about having many thoughts at the same time and not being able to find direction, leading to more overthinking and worrying.
In the therapy sessions, you and I will find out what kind of anxiety you suffer from, and we will examine what may have triggered anxiety and find ways to strengthen presence and agency in relationships, everyday life, and work.
We will also examine how depressive reactions differ from emotional states. Feelings belong to the emotional system and can provide calm and certainty, even direction for what one wants and needs. You will learn to reduce anxiety and to feel more empowered and emotionally present.

About relationships
What clients would like to have help with in their relationships vary, but all want the connections to be better than they are right now. The challenges can regard relationships in the present and also past experiences. Some tend to over-extend themselves to what they believe others want from them, while others have problems with closeness, although they wish to remain in a stable relationship.
In the therapy sessions, you and I will find out what challenges you are facing, see what triggers the problems in relations and find alternatives that provide presence and direction in your relationships.
We will also find out what emotions will strengthen your relationships and what have been obstacles. About exhaustion & stress
Exhaustion, stress reactions, and other physical symptoms have some similarities. Clients usually describe several symptoms (cognitive, emotional, bodily), and the symptoms have been there for some time.
For both exhaustion and physical problems, the emotional life is usually more or less shut down due to the impact of long-term stress from managing the symptoms in everyday life, leisure, and work. Anxiety and depression might also be present.
The client and I will talk about well-being and symptoms of exhaustion (or stress and bodily problems) in the present and how they have developed over time, and we will look at what triggers symptoms and what could influence the healing processes short-term and long-term.
We will also examine how symptoms of exhaustion and anxiety differ from emotional states. Feelings belong to the emotional system and can provide calm and certainty, even direction for what one wants and needs. You will learn to reduce anxiety and symptoms of exhaustion and how to experience more well-being over time.

About depression
To feel depressed is usually about feeling down, having low self-confidence (negative thoughts), and being unmotivated. There may be listlessness and a desire to withdraw from the outside world. Others may describe a more restless state and need to stay active to ward off depression and anxiety.
In the therapy sessions, you and I will find out what kind of depression it is, and we will see what triggers depressive reactions and find alternatives that provide presence and direction in relationships, everyday life, and work.
